Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all participants of the Australasian Aluminium Extrusion Conference (AAEC) being organised by the AAEC Steering Committee. By participating in the AAEC these terms and conditions are regarded to have been accepted by you. In the event that you make a reservation on someone else’s behalf, you must make sure the participant is aware of these terms.

Delegates are unable to split a full conference registration. Sharing of a registration is not permitted and a single registration cannot be used by more than one person.

The cancellation policy forms part of these terms and conditions.

Payments

Full payment of any fees applicable is due within 5 days of submitting your registration. If you register within 30 days of the event payment is due within 48 hours. All payments via bank transfer must be made in Australian Dollars, and any fees applicable must be borne by the payee. Credit card payments incur a 1.25% surcharge.

Registration Confirmation Process

We will begin processing your online registration as soon as you submit it. Until you receive an invoice and confirmation email from us. Your registration is not final. until full payment of the invoice has been made.

Registration Inclusions

Every registration type lists the items offered for that particular category. All other expenses related to your involvement will fall only on you..

Registration Cancellation

Delegates unable to attend the Australasian Aluminium Extrusion Conference (AAEC) after registering and making payment may nominate a substitute. Refunds may be granted as per the Cancellation Policy.

Contact

Participants’ email addresses submitted at the time of registration will receive event updates and participation news. Mobile phone number provided at the time of registration may be used to contact you regarding your registration.

Cancellation or Postponement

If AAEC is cancelled or postponed due to an event that makes it inadvisable, illegal, impractical, or impossible, we are not liable for travel, lodging, or other damages. This includes an Act of God, infectious disease outbreak, industrial disruptions, service provider failures, governmental restrictions and/or regulations, war or apparent act of war, terrorism or apparent act of terrorism, disaster, civil disorder, disturbance, and/or riots, transportation curtailment, suspension, and/or restriction, or any other emergency.

Changes

The event’s name, themes, content, program, speakers, format, performers, hosts, moderators, locations, and times are all subject to change at our discretion.

Code of Conduct

The organisers of AAEC are committed to providing an event that is welcoming and safe for all participants, is free from unlawful discrimination and harassment, and where all participants are treated with dignity and respect. Harassment is unlawful under both federal and all Australian state anti-discrimination laws, and as such, people suspected of such misconduct may be reported to authorities. Adherence to this Code of Conduct is a requirement for all AAEC participants and sponsors

Photography & Video

By registering for this event, you agree that you may have your picture or video captured during the event and used for marketing—including email marketing, websites, and social media. Tell the conference personnel at the registration counter if you want your picture taken.

Without prior written permission from us, participants may not reproduce the event content and materials supplied either during or in conjunction with the event for any reason.

Clear written permission is required by the AAEC Steerig Committee and the corresponding authors and speakers, before any part of the event may be recorded, copied or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronically or mechanically, including but not limited to video or audio recording, photographing, photocopying or any other information storage or retrieval system known now or in the future.

Intellectual Property

All materials—including presentations, slides, posters, abstracts, papers, and any other written or visual material displayed at the event—are the intellectual property of us or the corresponding authors and speakers. The writers or presenters keep ownership rights over their materials.

Insurance

There is no form of personal insurance included in the registration costs. You should acquire suitable insurance for your involvement. We are not accountable for any expenses spent owing to, but not limited to, individual cancellations, alterations in the event, postponement or cancellation of the event, or for theft of or property damage.

Accommodation

Accommodation is not included with registration. Individuals are responsible for booking their own accommodation.
