Xinquan Zhang
Dr. Xinquan Zhang is a consultant working for Rio Tinto since 2019. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a senior research engineer in Rio Tinto’s research centre in Thomastown of Melbourne from 1994 to 2006, and in the Sales & Marketing division from 2007 to 2019.
He was responsible for providing technical services to Rio Tinto’s extrusion billet customers in the Asia-pacific region for 21 years.
Dr. Xinquan Zhang has more than 40 years’ experience in the field of aluminium extrusion technologies. His expertise covers the areas of alloy design, process optimization, die operations, and troubleshooting of extrusion defects.
